By Irene Roos

Remove Max from desk.
Set out judge’s book and catalogue on desk.
Tell Max book and catalogue do not need rearranging.
Switch on computer.
Pick book and catalogue up from floor and put back on desk.
Write report heading.
Remove Max from keyboard.
Compose report preamble.
Remove Max from judge’s book.
Type in title of first class.
Remove Max from catalogue.
Put in name of first cat.
Remove Max’s paw from mouse.
Try to describe first cat.
Give up and go and have a coffee and read newspaper.
16. Save coffee from being knocked over by Max.
17. Sit with a happy, purring Max on lap, his mission to completely sabotage my attempt to write a report successfully completed.
